The HCHS Academic Team invites the community to the 3rd annual Battle of the Brains on Tuesday, April 14th, at 4:30 pm in the HCHS auditorium. The Battle of the Brains pits the HCHS Quick Recall team against some of the high school's sharpest teachers. This year's team advanced to the Sweet 16 at the Governor's Cup State Tournament. Admission is free to the public.

The Henderson County Track & Field team competed in the Invitational of South in Marshall County on Saturday, which featured 27 teams. The girls' team finished 12th overall, and the boys' team finished 3rd. Top 5 finishes from the meet included the boys 4x100m relay, the boys 4x200m relay, Mason Webb in triple jump, Jacob Nunn in shot put, Jacob Nunn & Bentley Simpson in discus, Callie Burnett in the 1600m, Christian Smith in the 800m, JShawn Gumbs in the 400m, Tyreese McCombs in the 300m hurdles, and King Combest in the 100m. Additionally, the boys' 4x800m team (Jordan Haynes, Christian Smith, Ross Plummer, and Kegan Cummings) placed first against a very competitive field.

SENIORS, it's time to start making the GRADUATION FILM, and Colonel Media needs your help! We need some volunteers willing to be filmed at your former elementary or middle school. Visit with former teachers and be part of a special moment at graduation. Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our Media Center! It starts today through Friday, April 3. Make plans to stop in the media center during your lunch to shop the book fair. There will be something for everyone!

There will be a Leo Club meeting on Thursday, April 2, after school in R107. Also, senior Leo club members, the Leo scholarship application is available from Ms. Freeman. It is due by April 17, so be sure to see Ms. Freeman if you are interested in applying.

Spring Football Practice begins April 13th after school. (Monday after spring break). If you are not playing a spring sport and plan on playing football in the fall, please make arrangements to be there. You must have a valid sports physical to participate.

FBLA is having a Chapter Meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, March 31, from 3:30-4:15 in Mrs. Robinson's room (T214); snacks will be provided!
