9/11 Event Parking

Join the Henderson Fire Department and Henderson County High School as we gather to mark the 25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001, honoring the 2,977 lives lost—including the 343 brave first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice.

📍 Where: Henderson County High School Football Stadium

🎟️ Admission: Free (Donations welcomed)

Event Schedule

🌅 6:30 AM — Sunrise Remembrance Ceremony Open to the public at the HCHS Football Stadium.

🪜 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM — Memorial Stair Climb Walk, step, and honor. Participants are invited to climb up to 110 flights of stadium stairs—symbolizing the 110 stories of the World Trade Center towers.

  • Flexible Participation: Come and go at any time throughout the day. Climb as many or as few flights as you choose!

  • Check-In: All stair climb participants must check in and sign a liability waiver before starting.

Supporting High School & Fallen Hero Programs

While the event is completely free to attend and participate in, donations are gratefully accepted:

  • 50% will go directly to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

  • 50% will benefit the HCHS Fire Science Career Pathway to help train our community’s future firefighters.

🚗 Parking Info: Please see the attached parking map. Visitors, please enter through Garden Mile Road and park at the grass tailgate area, tennis courts, or by the soccer fields (designated on the map by stars ⭐).
