We are incredibly proud of our Henderson County High School seniors for dominating the National Stock Market Game! 🌟
Competing against peers nationwide from September to April, these students grew their simulated portfolios in real-time market conditions—and far outpaced the S&P 500's 10.6% growth over the same period.
🥇 Paislee Toombs secured 1st Place with a whopping 67.55% increase in her portfolio! (Awarded a $100 American Express gift card, blue ribbon, and classroom banner).
🥈 Kiley Nunn secured 2nd Place with an impressive 63.64% return! (Awarded a $75 gift card and a red, white, and blue ribbon).
Both students participated in the program through their Personal Finance course, taught by 19-year veteran educator Courtney Givens. This school year marks the first time Personal Finance has been implemented as a graduation requirement, and these young women have proven that doing your research and staying the course truly pays off! 💡
What's next for these top-performing grads?
🐾 Paislee is heading to the University of Kentucky to major in Animal Science.
📚 Kiley is heading to Henderson Community College.
Congratulations, Paislee and Kiley! Your futures look incredibly bright.
