2025 Alumni Hall of Fame & Outstanding Young Alumni Now Accepting Nominations

Henderson County High School is accepting nominations for the 2025 Outstanding Alumni Awards of the Hall of Fame and Outstanding Young Alumni. The Henderson Outstanding Alumni Awards program is an important way to recognize graduates of Henderson County Schools and their achievements. Below you will see the criteria for each award as well as the application to complete. The application is due by September 28, 2025.

Criteria for the Alumni Hall of Fame

SECTION 1, ALUMNI HALL OF FAME AWARD

A minimum of one (1) and a maximum of three (3) recipients should be selected each year. 

Criteria include:

  • Must be a graduate of any High School in Henderson County

  • Must have been formally nominated by themselves or someone else, not on the selection committee or organizing committee. 

  • Must be 10 years past graduation.

  • Has done important work and been recognized in their respective fields or their community.

  • Have made a positive influence on a large scale in business, the arts, science, education, military, community service, etc.

SECTION 2, OUTSTANDING YOUNG ALUMNI AWARD

A minimum of zero (0) and a maximum of one (1) recipient should be selected each year. 

Criteria include:

  • Must be a graduate of any High School in Henderson County

  • Must have been formally nominated by themselves or someone else, not on the selection committee or organizing committee. 

  • Must be 5 years past graduation and no older than 40 years old at the time of induction. 

  • Has done important work and been recognized in their respective fields or their community.

  • Have made a positive influence on a large scale in business, the arts, science, education, military, community service, etc.

Selection Committee Criteria

No Henderson County High School employee should be involved in the selection decision.

No selection committee member should serve two concurrent years.

The selection committee should consist of five (5) Henderson County Community members, including one (1) representative from the following groups:

  1. Representative of Henderson City or County Government

  2. Member of the Henderson County Chamber of Commerce or Economic Development

  3. Henderson County Board of Education/Central Office  

  4. Henderson County High School Student Body (precedence should be given to the Senior Class President)

  5. At-Large Member (Current resident of Henderson and graduate of Henderson High School)
